This will generally mean using Amazon Partnered Carriers to schedule a pickup. Once the shipment has been collected and Amazon know the products are on their way, the In-Stock Head Start programme can kick in.
Even with the best inventory planning, popular products can sometimes go out of stock, and that can affect your product discoverability and sales. Ideally, you will monitor stock levels and have an inventory forecasting programme or be engaged in manual inventory forecasting. The best practice is not to wait until you sell out, but to reorder stock so that it arrives before your last remaining inventory sells but keep in mind that in the current climate, it’s not unusual to be caught out as sales hit record highs and products fly off the virtual shelves.

To enable you to carry on selling in FBA even if your product goes out of stock, Amazon have launched a new plan known as the ‘Amazon In-Stock Start Programme.’ This gives merchants the option of selling products in advance of them arriving at Amazon’s FBA warehouse.
